A ten-night trip escorted by Papua New Guinea dive addict Christopher Bartlett, with over 650 dives in-country in 7 years. 31 August to 10 September 2018. The trip includes domestic flights, 1 night at The Stanley, the best hotel in Port Moresby, 3 nights Tawali Resort, 3 nights liveaboard on the Spirit of Niugini, 3 nights at Tufi Resort.
Christopher is a widely published photojournalist and gives free coaching during the trips, to any experience level. There is also free yoga daily.
This itinerary has an excellent combination of pelagic dive sites with schooling barracudas, jacks, reef sharks, hammerheads, mantas, surgeonfish, batfish and more; amazing corals, both soft and hard, untouched by bleaching; fantastic macro with more cool critters than I can list here, including Milne Bay, Bargibanti and Denise pygmy seahorses, wunderpus, mimic octopus, numerous frogfish species, lacy scorpionfish (Rhinopias aphanes), shrimps galore, and also the famous "walking" epaulette sharks (Milne Bay and Papuan) and manta cleaning stations. Dugongs have been sighted at Tawali as recently as May 2018.
Plus the legendary wrecks the B17 "Black Jack", the B25 "Pistoff" and, conditions permitting, the S'Jacob wreck.
