A friend of mine (who is a 3d printer genius) has been challenging himself with improving parts on my AV1 scooter, so far he has made handle covers, switches & propeller tabs. The idea is to make them stronger without using the original inject mould ABS, but UV stable ABS filament. Have only started trialing the parts performance /strength and very pleased with the results so far.
Has anyone else designed any parts? Would like to see some ideas a well.

Magnificent!

How about you buzz up some screw caps

Nice! The red button is particularly prone to break.

Yep the screw caps have also been replicated, he is thinking of using a softer plastic almost like rubber in future- to help with removal, they are really hard to get out without damaging or putting holes in.
The trigger button handle cover was a bit tricky to get right, but it now fits perfectly and feels solid, the printers layering actually gives the handle more grip as well.

Currently working on printing the complete inner handle assemblies for both sides, also looking at redesigning/engineering a whole different reed/switch set up, stay tuned........
