I started with a Dacor Extreme Elle. It was a little big on me so after 75 dives last year I bought a Mares Vera. Boy do I miss the Extreme Elle!
The Vera's inflator hose is 16" as compared to the Dacor's 18". Those 2" make a difference under the water as well!
As well the Vera has 4 dump valves.And the string is not long enough on the rear valve (try fumbling for that wearing scuba mitts in 36 degrees! Impossible!)
As for pockets - decoration only, I swear.
I really wish my local dive shops had a try-before-you-buy stock.Alas.........
