lube, they're dynamic o-rings. Don't slather it in there because you don't want lube to get in the bourdon tube, but you do want them fairly liberally lubed. Far more than you do on any other o-rings outside of the first stage

What lube do the responders prefer and why? Kristo Lube (sp) or non-petroleum silicone grease?

Glad I asked (sad re memory), thanks. Was typing "which (best) lube" before markmud intervened. He actually posed the question better that I was going to.

@markmud if the regs are O2 clean, then it has to be whatever O2 clean lube that you use in the first stage. If the regs are not going to ever see more than 40% Nitrox, then I much prefer to use Dow 111 as I find it works much better overall.

I've always used silicone grease on o-rings with good results.

I like the Dow product but this, too, is a good quality grease and with a convenient flip-cap:
