I have had an ongoing problem with my exhaust valve sticking closed
on the surface. Any ideas on how to stop that.
I free it up and the next day it is stuck again.

My open circuit regulators do that all the time. Always considered it fairly normal. The mushrooms stick when they dry out. Crack them loose after they dry and they are fine.

yea I have had that happen with regs
this is different
even after its dry it will restick its self
just wondering if I could put something on it to
keep it from sticking

Maybe with cristolube or silicone grease.

I was thinking about that, just wondered if
anyone has tried it

Cristolube is used in first stages as lubricant, so it's safe from the breathing mix security point and it's safe from rubber compatibility point. So, I guess you could try.

Either lube the valve or try soaking your mask longer when cleaning it.
