Age of used Ranger?

I can't find a thread I read recently about how to figure out the approximate age of a Zeagle Ranger going by some of the features on it.
I bought one used a couple of years ago and just got curious after reading that thread.
Mine has a rubber Ranger tab and flag, 2 metal d-rings and flat shoulder straps. The tag on the inside has a date of Oct '96. Is that the date it was made?
The other thread mentioned different generations of this bcd. Is mine one of the later versions?

This is just idle curiosity. I bought it when i got back into diving and feel like i lucked into buying a good bcd. I have never had one before. I started diving before they were iin popular use then took a break from diving. It works very well and is very comfortable.

I would guess that Oct 96 was when it was made.

His has the same date as mine and both sound like the same model.
