We've been watching prices for a while from Atlanta and have looked at the historical price trackers. $800 is about as low as the Delta flight from Atlanta gets UNLESS you are connecting through another city. Since we are in ATL, it makes little sense for us to drive to Birmingham (2hrs very early am) to hop a plane back to Atlanta to save a couple hundred dollars. Not to mention that it makes the travel day much longer.

So today we booked our tickets. :snorkel::bounce::yeahbaby:

We were at AKR last week. We paid $750 total round trip on American, JFK/NYC to MIA/Miami, then MIA to Roatan. Flights were on Saturday both ways. Avianca had slightly better rates, but we were reluctant to make transfers in Guatemala.

Room sharing tip: We were in Key Deluxe room 48. Note that the key deluxe rooms are large and have one king and one full bed.

just FYI -- i see ticket prices are around 601 again (but that is flying out of mobile, AL) they might be the same elsewhere also and that was through Priceline
