Just checked this out Alien Deep w/ Bob Ballard on Netflix, anyone else see it? Not technically scuba but some diving involved but mostly depths beyond dive depth. Undersea world is such a wonder. If you haven't seen it you may enjoy it.

I've watched a few episodes of it. I actually quit watching the first episode (about the new island in Hawaii) part way through, but then watched two or three more (undersea vents, some ship wrecks, climate change). Ballard comes across as an insufferable @$$ to me and the production is overly dramatic and hokey - the flyover shots of Ballard on the cliff in Iceland comes to mind. I kept watching just because there aren't that many shows/documentaries on Netflix that get you underwater.

well thanks for posting and thanks for the insight. sounds interesting, but maybe i'll try leaving it on mute and listening to music while i look at the pretty underwater shots...
