An Anthozoa of some kind would be my guess

Well that really narrows it down right? Again around Mayaguana, Bahamas. Taken about 9 AM at 55 ft. My best estimate is the the "polyps" would be around 1 inch long.

Kind of big for that. Just perusing Winter 2014 AlertDiver today I was struck by the similarity to pg 97 Xenia.
Doesn't belong in the Caribbean however there are reports of some species invading off Venezuela.
A friend of mine suggested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goniopora. Not native either.
