This year's 2014 Key Largo locals derby came with new fanfare -- aside from all the lionfish that were collected. Travel channel host Andrew Zimmern of the Bizarre Foods television series filmed a new episode featuring the lionfish derby.
"For years, people told me that lionfish was the best-eating fish they ever tasted," Zimmern said on the Port Largo Canal docks outside Sharkey's Pub. "They understated it," he said, pausing between bites of lionfish ceviche. "It's superb."
