Android dive logger App for the Shearwater Predator dive computer

Any updates to this awesome logger idea? Will you also be able to do this on a Shearwater Petrel?

the Predator Log Manager (beta) is already available on Google Play.

We expect to release a version for the Petrel by the end of January.

You sir are one of the visionaries in this industry. I admit I was skeptical when some of the first products came out and kinda saw them just as a fun way to pass the time.

Now I see pretty much everything you have as essential to many divers and some as indispensible to others. The Predator is one of the easiest computers to learn IMO by just playing with it.

But your class is making some of the stuff so much easier for me on top of that.

Dive PAL should be on every instructors computer.

I won't recommend a computer of any type to students or divers if there isn't a tutorial on DiveNav. Mfg's (except Shearwater) are idiots when it comes to putting a manual together for their computers.


The ONLY reason I tend to stay away from the eDiving is that I do have to go to work, run a business, eat, and sleep. If I got into it I'd be hard pressed to get any of that done.

It was pleasure meeting you at DEMA in Orlando last year. My only regret is that there wasn't time to sit down and have lunch. I'd like to talk about the UW Nav thing we briefly discussed awhile back.

I have to admit that we tend to "think outside the box" .... unfortunately, I saw too many "dive professionals" that are completely "boxed-in" and so they tend to stay away from our "heretic" products
BTW, we have more aces in our sleeves .... Blue Buddy is next

iOS pad/phone????

Would you need it for the ipad? Cant you do the same thing with shearwater desktop? Ive never tried - does the desktop only work with Mac and PC - but not ipad?

any news about the update for the petrel ?

Predator Log Manager doesnt work on my Petrel @ Jax
I can open some logs, but otherwise the program crashes

What smartphone are you using?
We tested the Petrel with few smartphones and it was working OK.
We are making substantial changes to the App and We plan a new release in April/May.

I dont know why, but after a new installation it works now.
I have tried this last time (one month ago) with no success

Is the upload function in the new version included?
At the moment i receive the message (Invalid log ID:Invalid int:"")
