I don’t use VPN or any ad blocker but the “google ad” doesn’t seem to appear anymore.

I always use this on desktop...
Adblock Plus
I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine on both desktop and mobile. I gave it permission to take over Chrome. No more tracking. Hell, I get better results than Google and I don't have this issue when using it.
You can use this on Android. Make it your dedicated SB browser...

Cautiously optimistic but same here.
Well, I’m still not having any problems on my iPad, but my iPhone has been a complete cluster.
Just to note, I only use my iPad at home, and, since not getting the ad on it, I have only used my phone in other locations. I’m afraid that if I use the phone on my home network I’ll start getting it on my iPad again, also. Don’t know if it works that way but why tempt fate.

It's back. Just logged on with my iPad and it happened three times in a row. Had to post this using my desktop.

Yes. For iPad & iPhone, you need to go to Settings/Safari/Advanced & turn off your JavaScript, as posted by @Francesea in Pop up
