1. Did your cave training discuss anxiety? Did it talk about how to avoid it? Did it talk about how to manage it once it appears? If it doesn't should it and how?
Yes, mostly about recognizing the precursors and either gradually introducing yourself to them or avoiding them, e.g. reduced vis, small caves, many navigation decisions etc.

2. Is this something that divers are wary of talking about? Should it be discussed more?
My buddies and I discuss things that make us anxious (future) or made us anxious (past) routinely

3. Do others find that hypercapnia is a factor? What other factors are relevant?
I have not had what I would consider hypercapnic anxiety.

4. What do you do when anxiety appears?
