Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good (preferably freeware) anti-spam package for using with Outlook Excuse? I am fed up with deleting the stuff now as it is getting out of control. There are only so many cheap toner cartridges I can buy, I have given all my money to Mr Mboto of Nigeria who requires my assistance to transfer $25 million for his uncle, I have a cupboard full of viagra and my trouser snake is now 8ft long...!! :)

Thanks in advance

Regards

A cupboard of viagra and an 8' trouser snake would be bad enough each on their own. But the combination must be lethal !!

Suggestion: Printing out the spam would enable you to use up all the toner cartridges, plus give you attractive paper which which to decorate your viagra cupboard, particularly if you too get some exotic and varied ads for porn sites

You are indeed correct.

Having an 8ft hose beast is one thing, but when I take all that viagra it drains all the blood from the rest of my body and I look like a corpse!

I like your suggestion. Only snag is, I have to remove all the viagra to wallpaper the cupboard.

Anyway, a kind lady called "Mrs Marriam Abacha, the wife to the late Head of State, of the federal Republic of Nigeria from 1993 -1998 - General Sani Abacha-" has kindly asked me to assist her in transferring $38 million into a secure account. Apparently she got my details from a trade mission. How kind of them. I must get on to it right away!

The best spam fighter I've seen so far is www.cloudmark.com. They integrate with MS Outlook and get close to 95% of my spam (I get 3-500 each weekend). Plus there is a "block" button that adds a spam to it's list. I've only seen a couple false-positives and I think they were my fault.

Downside -- It's like $3 a month.

I personally haven't tried this but I've heard good reviews....

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

we use spambayes here, it works for outlook, not sure about outlook express
check out http://spambayes.sourceforge.net for more info
its really good here at work :)

I get my email on yahoo.com. I bought the update so it has a spam stopper with it . If something does get through you can tag it as "spam" and the next time they send something from the senders address it is put into the span file.

The nice part is you can go to the spam file and if something looks interesting then you can open it.

But I have another question along the same line. How do you stop these drop down windows with ads when you are on the internet? Is there a program for these? They are more annoying then the email spam used to be.
