Starting to plan our next trip to CUR. This property looks interesting. Has anyone stayed and dived from this property? Info on Lagun Blou is limited. Pictures on TA show tanks, rinse tank and drying area but no info on the dive op. The steps down to the water and ladder in look a bit tricky. Thanks in advance for responses. TK

Dear tkaelin,
Please contact Peter Bot or any one of his professional team at Bahia Diving which is located inside of Bahia Apartments.

Bahia is a Curacao Tourist Board approved dive operation and they also have adopted the Playa Lagun Beach/Dive site as as part of the Curacao Dive Task Force - Project AWARE "Dive Against Debris" initiative.

They will be able to provide a thorough briefing plus provide many options for more wonderful shore dives in the area.

Hope this helps and if you have questions, feel free to let me know! Always happy to help!

Regards and safe diving,
Bryan

Thanks!

Not recently and I only saw Lagoon Blou from down below but Playa Lagun is a good dive - often turtles just out past the entrance to the cove,

I'm pretty sure there's steps down to the beach from there also which was where we entered. Some permanent picnic benches but the beach toy operator owns/rents the plastic chairs.

On the north side of Lagun is also Playa Jeremi - IMO the better of the two dives but farther out. The north side made Frommer's top 10 Carib snorkels once - IIRC there were orange cup corals in pretty shallow water along the cliff - better at night. No facilities there at all and the parking is up the hill from the beach and I have read of thefts there.

Also Bahia has a nice cliff side bar/grille there, Bahia Restaurant, Lagun - Restaurant Reviews, Phone Number & Photos - TripAdvisor

We rented tanks from Discover Dive at the entrance since they have a truck bed height loading dock and there was 6 of us.

There ,may still be a small market nearby with limited hours - we shopped in town b4 driving out. We stayed about 2 blocks north of the site but in that area all the rentals are 50-60' above the water - ours had a ladder down but we didn't feel like hauling the gear back up...

And if you thought Westpunt was quiet...lol

Thanks for the posts and suggestions. Most of our plans made. Will head back second half of Jan and split time between Lagun Blou 3 nights and Nos Krusero 4 nights. Will use the onsite dive op at LB Divecenter Wederfoort for tanks for diving at Lagun, will spend a day diving at Cas Abou using on site dive op Bdiving for tanks and diving with Gowest during our stay at NK. Will be shore diving all week with a boat dive with GW.
