Have you asked the following organisations - Maritime Archaeological Association of Queensland and the Queensland Museum ? Both orgs have websites that can be easily found by googling or binging etc

Hi,
Only just spotted this. I have dived the wreck many times. The wreck is in one of those locations where one can't make travel plans easily. Currents & wind are a major hindrance in this very exposed location. However, several dive boat operators go there at times out of Cairns.
Visibility is usually up to 10 m but can go as far as 25m on rare occasions. Best time of year is just before & immediately after the wet season.
