Anyone done PADI AOW checkout dives at "Pelham Keys"?

You're kidding!

Been down that same way twice, right off the wall, and never saw the descent line (should've checked the map!). Now I'm going to have to do that Danish plunge one more time just so I can kick myself in the ass... (that is a major boring ascent, with no reference point, in nothing but blue-green nothingness).

Not to worry BKP. Many people don't know about the float. Check with the dive shop before you head out and they will give you directions / bearing from the shop. I was told (a long time ago) that the float was deliberately placed out of sight so inexperienced divers would not place themselves in unnecessary danger (read liability to shop). I'm not sure how true that is but it does make sense (to me anyway).
