Ok, one of my to dos on my bucket list, very near the top, is to find a 7 inch Meg in good condition. I read or was told of one such find and I believe his name is Harry. He was diving in SC and his knee scrubbed something on the bottom of the river, so he reached back behind him to see what it was and pulled out a 7+ inch meg!! Any similar stories of 7 inch meg finds would be awesome!!

dougs meg.jpgthis tooth was found on beach @ lowest tide on potomac , i believe it measures 6 7/8 in

Wow!! Nice tooth and a land find at that!!!!!!! Unbelievable, almost 7 inch tooth found on land!! Largest I have found was 6.75 and whole corner of the root was gone. :( I dove that spot several times hoping I would find the missing portion. That missing portion could have very well made the tooth 7 inches.......

Animal control, if that is where you are finding teeth, you are lucky to have a place like that. Great visibility and shallow depths. I dove yesterday and could not see anything most of the time, it was like being in a sand blizzard whiteout.
