This is an interesting eco tour that was praised in a recent issue of Travel and Leisure Magazine. You will pass during the hour plus ride by colorful towns, the Exbalam Gothic church, and the archeological zone of Acanceh, before arriving at the old hacienda Chunkanan, where you will stop for a break and split into two groups. From here, a typical "truck" (a horse-drawn rail cart) will take one group directly to one of these natural wonders, called Chelentun. The other group will proceed in the van to the other cenote.

This tour takes you back to Mexico of a century ago when these rail systems were built and the carts used to transport the huge leaves of the Agave cactus plants from the fields back to the hacienda where they were processed into the sisal fiber used for making ropes, (before nylon came along).

This tours includes all snorkeling equipment: Mask, Snorkel, fins and Safety Vest.
