    Many countries aside from the US use a comma, where we would use a period, to indicate decimal point.

    Location: Italy
    Yes in Italy we use the comma for decimals and the dot for thousands, the opposite of the US. The dot for thousands is usually written on the top of the figures like an apostrophe
