The Aqua Pro Plus and the Techniflex are completely different suits. The Aqua Pro Plus is built out of a heavy duty Pac Cloth material. It has 1000 denier Cordura over lays on the shoulders, forearms, stomach, back, butt and thigh. It is a rugged and durable suit.

The Techniflex is built with a special stretchable fabric. It's a little lighter than the Aqua Pro Plus, but it also has reinforcement built into the suit. A special fabric called "Super Fabric" is sewn in the knees, elbows and shoulder. It is a puncture/tear resistant material specially cut for high abrasion areas. It is an extremely comfortable suit to wear.

Can I assume then that since the Pro Plus seems to be the top of the USIA suit line and is built to be more robust and durable is the Techniflex more of an entry level dry suit or there a specific type of diving type the Techniflex was designed for?

The Techniflex is actually a little more expensive due to the materials used in the suit. The Techniflex is a much more comfortable suit and it is also built with tremendous abrasion/cut resistance. The Aqua Pro Plus is just made with a thicker material and more cordura so it is a bit heavier.
