It's ironic that we rail against doing a "trust me" dive but - by necessity - we cheerfully put our lives in the hands of the pilot that gets us to the dive resort.
Yeah, I agree. But you'd have to drum up a statistic that compared pilot error plane crashes to accidents resulting in trust me dives (or divers who did only trust me dives then had an accident when diving without a trust me guide). I agree, and it points out another flaw in any of these statistics. Besides, it's just the thing to do on scubaboard--"NEVER DO A TRUST ME DIVE"! I do, of course agree with that, it's just that I'm amazed sometimes how people jump on the bandwagon.
But you know me--Anti-smoking laws are too tough. Seat belt laws are wrong. Recycling is good but it ain't all it's cooked up to be.
