LOL... I just joined this group and it's nice to learn I'm not the only "outcast" around. I do the vast majority of my drysuit diving from my Zodiac Hurricane which has a self-righting arch over the transom. I just have a short length of line with a clip that I use to close my suit. Most of the time, my better half is boat tending, so I try not to do this any more often than I need too, for the same reasons others have mentioned...
 
At my age, it is both safer and easier to have a front zippered DS!
