The easy way to make a nice clean hole is with a hot piece of metal tubing. Get a piece 3/8 copper tubing and heat that sucker up with a torch then press it into the webbing.

Sounds good, was going to heat up a drill bit, but that sounds like a better route.


A little off topic, but what is the purpose of the back d-ring on the crotch strap for?

The "butt" dring is typically used as a place to carry a reel, and is occasionally used as a place to clip off empty stages, spare scooters etc.

For the typical recreational user it is seldom used and can be left off the assembly if you prefer.
