The manual says it "wasn’t designed to be used with rechargeable batteries.". I think this is a crime against the environment and should be illegal (but I'll refrain from any more soap boxing on that topic). But what about lithium AAA batteries? Anyone use those in this flash? I am testing it with some rechargeable eneloops and they seem to work okay so far. I'd prefer to use lithium if I must use disposables. But I don't want explosions. :)

Why not use the rechargeables anyway.
I suspect it will work fine, the voltage differences are not that large

I had this strobe and used it for over 2 years and close to 100 dives with rechargeable batteries even though the manual said not to. Never had a single problem. This strobe eats up batteries way too fast not to use recargeables.
