Fellow Divers,
In October of 2013 BAUE conducted an expedition to Cordell Bank. Cordell Bank is a plateau located approximately 20 miles offshore of Bodega Bay, which rises up from thousands of feet to roughly 300 feet. Many shallower pinnacles lie atop of the bank, the shallowest of which reach around 120 feet at their tops. In addition to the dramatic topography, the bank is fabled to have amazing biodiversity, which led to its protection as a National Marine Sanctuary.
We have put together a project page and project video that we wanted to share. You can find both at:
BAUE Cordell Bank Project
A special thank you to Jennifer Stock from the Cordell NMS for providing audio and video clips for the project. The project has also been featured on the National Marine Sanctuaries web site:
NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries: Oceans, Marine Life, Shipwrecks, Diving, Whales, Voyage to Discovery
Enjoy!
