This one is going out to the norcal old timers:

If you could pick one dive on one day in norcal that would depict the absolute epitome of norcal diving (kelp, rich reef, seals, eels, etc) with jaw dropping vis..... where would it be and what month.

ANY month can offer fabulous conditions with epic visibility...or give you green/brown sludge that's almost thick enough to plough. The conventional wisdom around here is that visibility is best near the winter solstice, when the number of hours of sunlight is the lowest, but the truly best conditions I have ever seen have been in July. There were two years in a row (2005 and 2006, I think) where we had over 100' of visibility during the week of July 4. It's all a function of the winds we receive and whether they can generate an upwelling current.
