Last weekend was pretty good for octopi and for macro.

Vis was challenge today - 5-10 feet but did finally find my frogfish! Was mostly an octopus kinda cinco de mayo
Thanks! How packed was the lot?

Froggy was around 3" - found a scorpionfish that was a good bit smaller.
Lot wasn't ridiculous but there were at least 3 large classes going on. Didn't get front row but 2nd row wasn't completely full @ 0740 when we got there.

Are there any official guided dives from any shops for BHB or do you have to request that privately? Or is this more a just go by yourself?
Wanting to maybe try it out for memorial day weekend so just curious

Check with Force E who are located just west of Phil Foster Park - they may have something planned. Memorial Day Weekend isn't the day I'd be considering unless high tide was before 0900. Lot will likely be crazy packed as will the water - just not relaxing in IMHO.

Pura Vida also is nearby. If they don't have something scheduled they will arrange a private guide. Helpful for pointing out macro stuff like nudis, seahorse, etc.

You can dive the site without a guide. But as the others are saying, a holiday weekend there will be a circus... Be prepared to show up at about 6am to get a spot to park for the 2:00pm high tide....:surrender:
