BP/W Fit and Position Advice Needed

I would say it's more important that you can reach your valve/valves than the top of the plate, which is a lot easier than touching the top of the plate.

You can reach your valve by opening the belt buckle and pushing the bottom of the tank up until you can reach your valve.
 
Thanks everyone for the assistance. I spent 3 sessions in the neighborhood pool over the weekend adjusting, tweaking, testing, etc. In the end, BP/W just isn't for me. I found a good deal locally on a like new Zeagle Stiletto, and after 30 seconds in the pool I knew I made the right choice.
