video7 via cnn has live coverage you can see the plane sticking up through the water. It appears that it didn't come apart on impact. My prayers to the passengers and crew and PSD's

Brown says the plane, an Airbus 320, may have been hit by birds.

Wow ... those New York birds are TOUGH!

Guess those are some passengers who'll pay more attention next time the stewardess gives the little talk about what to do in the event of a water landing ... :shocked2:

For what US Airways just two weeks ago did to me and my son.....I hope there Plane was uninsured and cost them Billions!

Plane hit a flock of geese. Same thing happened to Fabio in Williamsburg, VA. Five years ago, he was on the downslope of the roller coaster and got smacked in the face. He had to be carried off.

Kudos to the pilot of the Airbus 320, amazing feat with the dead stick landing.

They say that pigeons are rats with wings. Geese are even worse. Pa is hitting all time highs with deer hunting licenses. Sounds like NY needs to push goose hunting!
