A beautiful day to start Memorial Day weekend, here in Panama City! We ended up diving on the USS Strength and Bridge Span 12. Heading out wasn’t too bad, but there was they typical 2-3ft chop the Gulf of Mexico gives us. After anchoring up on Span 12 everyone splashed in and had a great dive! While everyone was on their safety stop, a BIG leather back turtle graced us with his presents. When I say BIG I mean BIGGGG J. Our next site was the USS Strength! The seas mellowed out from 2-3 feet to 1 foot, which was pleasant. Visibility was about the same and the water temperature on the bottom was a cool 68 degrees. There is a nice thermocline at about 70ft, but still an awesome dive!
Bridge Span 12:
Vis – Roughly 30 feet
Water Temp – 70 degrees
Sea Conditions – 2-3ft

USS Strength:
Vis – 30 feet
Water Temp – Approx 68 degrees
Sea Conditions - 1-2ft

Well, that’s it for now! More reports coming tomorrow!
