Brynite DIV01 - Puzzled by new lights O rings

Hey Folks,

I got a shipment of a DIV01 video and one standard beam light from Alibaba. The three O rings dont seem to retain their place around the threaded portion - when I tighten the video head to seal it, they just slide off down the barrel of the torch. What am I doing wrong? I am afraid to test them in a bucket of water until I sort this out. Also what (silicone?) lubricant can I use on the rings?

OK I failed to notice that three O rings were already buried in the threading and hence the spares I tried to use slipped off and rolled down the barrel.
