Are there proper names for different types of bungee cords? Technical names, maybe?

I have been trying to find bungee cords that have the same quality as those that came with my XDeep but it has been impossible. The ones i have found are flimsy and don’t recoil as well.

    Can anybody help? Thanks.

Try searching for marine grade bungee. As stated above dgx has good bungee as well as Pirahna dive mfg.

Might try using Shock Cord as a keyword for your search.

Try dive gear express 1/4" extra thick for sidemount bungee.
