I just received 2 Byoguides that cover both fish and critters and corral of the Indo-Pacific., They are really good for different reasons. The Reef finder can be taken underwater and is great for a new diver to the area. It's small and easily attached to a lanyard. The Coral finder is really for hard core coral lovers. It's a great guide to identify scores of coral based on visual characteristics, but it does not give common names of the coral and not too useful to me for that reason. The older version could be taken underwater but the new one isn't and the seller says to use it with photo ID. So now you need a camera and computer to go back to the dive lodge and figure things out. The quality of all pictures and the construction of both books are outstanding.

Check out the Byoguide.com site. Lots of instructional videos.

However I'd like to sell them. The seller is in Australia and it's too expensive to mail them there. They use a book warehouse in the USA that got me the books in 2 days but will not take returns. I spent $100.00 on the two books and wish to sell them for $60.00. plus postage. A great deal.
