C5050 & micro drives

Has anybody tried a 1 or 2 GIG microdrive in one of these camera's.

Just bought a 1 gig. Popped it in & took a few random pics - it works fine. 290 pics on SHQ.

During our last trip one of the cameras flooded bad. The camera was toast. The pictures on the card were fine. From what I understand, a micro drive would not have been recoverable.

Don't forget that microdrives have moving parts, and are thus somewhat sensitive to shock and vibration. Cards are not. I think this is a consideration for UW photography.

That's the main reason I stick to CF cards!
