Hi,
I just bought a 'bunch of stuff' today and these regs were in the batch. Can anyone tell me what model they are and are they worth getting serviced? Thank you!

To answer my initial question: Are they worth the price of having them serviced/rebuilt?

Oh! Personal use. I have a good set (Apeks TX50's) and these would be backups or maybe to use on a pony bottle. They are pretty old so I don't see much in the way of selling them.

You're going to have to define "worth" then.

I guess what I looking at is:
1. I have these two older sets of regs
2. I need something for a pony bottle
3. Would it be less expensive to just but another set of Apeks at 299 then to have these serviced/rebuilt.
4. I did hook them up to a tank and they both seemed to "work fine." But I don't trust that.
5. Worth to me would be that if I could spend maybe 60-100 dollars per set and have a basic, decent of regs to use as a backup or to use with a pony bottle, then I would do it.
6. I am also just plain curious as to what they are. All I know is that they are Mares.

This possibly what you've got. Help with Regulator Age and ID

Early generation MR12 First/IV Second Stage.

Based on the vintage computer plus I owned that Dacor pressure gauge once I'd guess late 80's/early 90's.

I vaguely remember seeing one hanging on the LDS wall around then.

I think you are right about the Mares in that other thread. I am not sure about the 1st stage though, and that conversation went super technical in a hurry! :) Thank you!
