Ooops, I can imagine that most people outside the UK and Ireland wouldn't understand just how contentious that could be.

Just got off the phone with Paul Montgomery (the agency's go-to guy for international business) and he is very aware of the situation. He has pointed out the implied insult, to the department who manage and maintain the company website as well as senior management, of including Eire as part of the UK. The required change will be made and the original mistake -- the result of poor proofing of third-party software -- is sincerely regretted.
