HUGE Beavers???? No comment.

Yeah, the huge beavers and flying moose would probably be a lot funnier after drinking...

Fppf.....in this thread you are what you have been called. The Canadians have been avoiding your inflamatory posts in an effort to remain the better.

It is a good thing we did not have time to perfect our Thin Ice for these games.....

Well if you do the "Gold is 3, Silver is 2, and Bronze is 1" then US had 70 points and Canada had 61 points. Even changing that to 5/3/1 still has the US ahead.

But it was a great olympics even after a tragic start.

nah, gold is worth 10, silver is 5 and bronze just 1. So we win 180 to 178

The real secret is that they have winter 9 months a year up there.. and get lots of time to practice sliding :blinking:
Been there .. done that.. childhood in Toronto.
Great games though!!! Best yet! Maybe because USA was so competitive this time in multiple sports.

I dont think Vancouver has winter

VANCOUVER, B.C. - It seems U.S. President Barack Obama owes Prime Minister Stephen Harper a few cold ones.

The two leaders had a friendly bet on the outcome of Sunday's gold-medal Olympic hockey game.

Team Canada came out on top, so Obama will have to pick up a 24-pack of Molson Canadian for the prime minister. Harper would have had to buy Obama a case of Yuengling beer if the U.S. had taken the top honour at the tournament.

You got that mixed up. Your PM will be getting a nice case of Yuengling from the oldest brewery in the USA. Good beer. Not the usual watered down, mass produced US swill.

Congrats Canada on a great win. My only problem with it is the little whiner who scored the winning goal. The kid is good but he whines like a little school girl.
