Hey all u underwater pic enthusiasts. i need some help here.

I saw a canon uw camera i a pawn shop. it was orange in colour (big help ...right?) I am wondering what you ropinions were on buying a used uw camera. i would like to start out with something simple.

I have looked at he sea and sea packages etc.

What do I look for on this beast.

Price wise it was approx $80.00 US ($145.00 CDN)

Thanks for your input.

If it works for the simpler point and shoot shots, then I would say it's a relative bargain.

As far as u/w photography, stick with the point/shoot stuff for now to see if you have a real knack (or bent) for it. Then you can upgrade as your needs require.

Or you might find like me that you want to make the leap to video. I have found more of my non-diving freinds would enjoy "moving" pictures rather than stills. And when a still camera gives you one chance at the "once in a lifetime shot", a digital video camera will give you 30-frames per second of chances.

...this thread. Yes I did get a warranty and yes it did flood at 90'. (after some other diver brought it back to me) ( a whole other story)

Thanks for your advice.
