I will be visiting the Ft Lauderdale area in mid June. Are there good cruises to the Caribbean or other islands good for a couple in which only 1 dives? My better half snorkels but is not into diving.

We have 3-4 days and prefer to go midweek as opposed to a weekend. Do you have any suggested itineraries?

Thanks,

Arizona

Majesty of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) does a 4 night cruise out of Miami Monday through Friday and you'll hit Nassau (you can dive while she snorkels or buys jewelery :D ), their private Island Coco Caye (you do a 1-tank shore dive while does Waverunners, snorkels, or lays out in the sun), and Key West, where I suggest you don't dive and spend the day w/ her and either snorkel or just enjoy old town Key West.

I do two cruises a year on Majesty and she was just refit in January this year so she's in excellent condition and has a great crew.

Great recommendation! I just need to see if it runs the last week in June.

Majesty OTS does the four night cruise (this link takes you straight to your dates in June '08) every Monday thru Friday and the three night cruise every Friday thru Monday (they call the three night cruise the weekend warrior, you don't even have to take a vacation day and it skips Key West).

Hmmmm thats sounds good

Brian,

My b/f doesn't dive either, but he loves to play poker. Does Majesty have a poker room? I suppose he can go to one of the Nassau casinos during the day, right?

Sure, Majesty has a full blown casino like most other cruise ships (with both smoking and no-smoking areas in the casino). And Paradise Island (Atlantis) offers casinos as well.

I figured they would have a casino, but the cruise we took on the Carnival Liberty in September only had a "Poker Pro" Texas Hold 'em table (video stations, no live dealer). He likes a "Live" table, so I was wondering whether RCL has them.
