Long day but wel worth it. The park was Hot and sunny above the surface and foggy below vis=20-35'. BUT everything you want to see is right there. Wrecks, Kelp, Rock structure, LOTs of fish of every size and color, And 2 Giant Black Sea Bass. May 10 divers
Any issues with renting tanks at CDS if you were solo?

No, But then they didn't ask and I didn't. I had a buddy, but there was a solo diver the previous Monday;

Can you take tanks on the ferry? What was the water temp?

Sure, tanks are no problem. Taxis await you, to take them to the Point. But they rent al80s, steel 100,120s yoke or din. water temp was 69 Surface/66 at depth.

Good Divin, Dive safe

Hey thanks, I appreciate that. I really need to get out there soon. The water is actually not as cold as I would have thought. Is there a time of year with better viz than others? I know I could google this, but hey, there you are and here I am. LOL!

Winter is best time for everything. Less water movement, more clear water, thicker kelps acting like curtains as well. More fish, more animals that come out because there aren’t a hundred snorkelers and divers at the Park.
