I've never been on that boat before, but it seems to have a pretty good rep here on the board. You should call them up (800)555-9446. galleywench here on the board works on the Sundiver I think, so you could message her if you prefer the internet.

Cheers for the link, the only one around the dates im there is Sundiver and there website does not seem to work.

It worked fine for me just now, so maybe it was a network glitch. Or you can just go to Dive Boat Sundiver

I believe that the Sundiver Express is running Weds, Fri, Sat & Sun at $100 for a 3-tank day through April. At some point they start running 2-tank trips with morning and afternoon departures.

Couple of questions for those who have been to the dive park on weekdays.
How much does it cost to take a cab from the ferry dock to the casino and back?
Are cabs available at 0730?
How do we handle air fills on weekdays, say DWADD Thursday? And how much for the fills?
Any recent information on the lockers at the casino?
Thanks for the information.

FYI: The Sundiver Express does not have bunks :depressed:, its a bit smaller with no real galley either. Just a BBQ and some snacks.

Their claim to fame is they have a fast boat, so they can leave a bit later and return earlier leaving you the same amount of time at the dive sites. They also have more options on the week days than the other larger boats and will supply tanks (AL80 or Steel 85) and weights on request, no charge.

I have used them several times and no complaints, just a bit different than the larger boats the are slower.

Taxis are always avail. so is the lugage storage service which is IMHO a better way to go...for $8 they will take all your gear/tanks to the point (you casually walk) and pick them up when you call and store them at the dock so you can go into town without hauling all that heavy wet gear. Cabs are in the $15.00 range each way for a max of 3 divers with gear.
If you let the service know in advanced, they are very willing to have the station avail. from 8:00 am to mid.afternoon....May have changed but it was $6/tank. Trust me they will be there on June 2nd:D they love our income.

For groups of divers the Scuba Cat dive boat (owned by Catalina Divers Supply) can pick up divers at the dock right next to the Catalina Express and save you the walk or a taxi ride. Just let them know when you make the reservations. The website is: Catalina Island Scuba Diving and Snorkeling from Catalina Divers Supply on Catalina Island in Avalon CA

The Scuba Cat is clean, hot showers, and fast. Passengers can be picked up also at Two Harbors.
