Hello from Socal!!

Well, I arrived back in Socal safe and sound (matter of opinion). Leaving in the morn for 5 days of diving down in Baja off the coast of loreto. I am planning on being back in Socal late Wednesday and will be going to Catalina on Friday morning for a few dives.

I invite anyone in the area who wants to join us to meet us at casino point. we should be there around 10 AM and will probably come back to the mainland around 6 PM.

but I'll be headed south! Enjoy! By the way, if you were planning on getting tanks or airfills out there at the Casino, CDS is on "winter time" - they open at noon on Fridays, or so I recall from last week. I know we got there around 10:30 and they were not open.

Kelpmermaid has a point; I was there on Tues & the fill station at Casino Pt. has limited hours during the week. For those going Mon-Thurs, it is closed altogether, so you may want to rent one of those hand carts from the shop on the dock. It's a loooong way to tote a tank!

I'm back from Loreto. got in early afternoon, and had a great time. I will post my report next week after I get home.

Thanks for the reminder kelpmermaid and art. I knew they were on winter time and remember it well taking the hikes back to the green pier for refilling. Fortunately I have brought both of my tanks with me so I wasn't going to need refills. Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to go anyway because I have to be back to work Sunday.

Thanks Art, It looks as though I might be coming back mid January.

My dive buddy, who is also my long time g/f and accompanied me to Mexico, and I decided we would tie the knot the end of January.

Well, congratulations!

My club usually does a "Polar Bear Dive" at Casino Point in mid-January - maybe that will work for you. The date has not yet been set, though.

Can't wait to hear about Loreto.

She's been "bugging" me for a couple of years now.

I should be posting my report Monday. I am planning on leaving this evening to head back east and then I want to scan the pics so I can post them as well.
