scaldwell:
Hi I occasionally see reference made to a Cozumel dive called "Cedar Pass" in some of the scuba magazines. Is this another name for Cedral Pass?

Thanks

Cedar Pass = "English" name for the site
Paso del Cedral = "Spanish" name for the site
Cedal Pass = "Spanglish" name for the site

peebee:
Cedral is spanish for Cedar.

In this case, el Paso del Cedral is so named because it is offshore from the road leading into the little town of Cedral that lies in the interior of the island. (There are some modest Mayan ruins in Cedral - not worth a special trip, IMHO.)

But the dive is great at Cedar Pass and Cedar Wall. I have seen many Nurse Sharks there.

Try Cedral for there annual Carnaval at the end of April
I beleive it celebrates the first mass on the island.
