CG picks up injured diver off Miami Beach

Just looked at the story. Broken legs arms and ribs not your normal scuba related injuries. Must have been hit by a boater at high speed. Couldn't find anything else about it.

and a BIG helicopter swooped down to pick up water right as he was doing his safety stop. Before you know it he is flying at 3000 ft and feeling pretty bent when he gets dropped on this fire. Well, he makes it to the creek, which becomes a river and sweeps him out to the Gulf Stream, where he rides a dolphin back to where his dive charter was, but they left already.

Sounds a lot like the episode of CSI last night. An young female extreme hiker's body was found along the roadside in the desert outside of Vegas. ME report said cause of death was drowning. Turns out she was hiking in the mountains when she was hit by a flash flood. Flash flood drowned her, and swept her down the mountain side and onto the desert floor below, where all the water quickly evaporated!

It sounds like he was hit by a boat. 2 miles out though; that's some surface swim. Where was (or is) his buddy? Hmmmmmmmm.

Drug deal at sea goes bad, the bad guys make this guy put on a wetsuit and then proceed to break his legs, arms, and ribs and then stick some scuba gear on him and puch him over board. They figure that withthe broken bones he'll drown and a shark will come along and eat the body or at least parts of it. The drug dealers leave the guy for dead, but little did they know, maybe due to a lack of scuba knowledge, that the guy knew enough to inflate his BC and foiled their attempts to drown him. He floats around until the coast guard finds him, but he can't tell them this story because he would eventually be charged with trafficking, so he uses the got hit by the dive boat story.
