No, it's fixed to support mobile browsing.
I don't understand that logic. How is having to tap next page and then wait for it to load easier than continuous scrolling?
The common reason most sites have a fixed number of topics per page simply to increase their advertising page views.

I actually agree with you but I inherited it. I do not phone browse ever so doubling it would not bother ne at all.
