Since we swim like mammals (up & down instead of side-to-side like fish), then the British uses the right word. So I’ll bring my flippers to go diving tomorrow.

TBH I read that as a man wearing flip flops. Anyway, he did pretty well to get nearly to Calais. If we have light winds in November I think we will be see more people trying to escape to France like this.

Lol, he was swimming from France to the UK. Three miles, still impressive.
