Hi all- thanks for your helpful suggestions. I'm putting together my cheater hose, and thinking it would be best kept clipped off inside a drysuit pocket. I'm just wondering about plugging it in to a bailout wet. Does it matter if the hose is full of salt water when i plug it in?

I'm sure saltwater isn't great for it, but the time when you need to pull it out and use it you won't care.

I keep mine in wetnotes instead of loose in a pocket.
If you're going QC6 to BC or something, then I'd be tempted to recommend plugging it into your wing to clear it out first. This is similar to the SOP of pushing the QC6 nipple against something harder to blow the hose out before plugging it in. If you have a blow gun or something else you can obviously use that as well.

I'm also with @rddvet though and if you're using a cheater hose it's probably somewhat urgent and you can always flush the system out when you get back to the house.
