Competition Magnum Restoration

This is a restoration project. I was given a JBL competition magnum speargun.
It is in need of TLC. The guy I got it from knows that I - restore, rebuild, repair,
so on and so forth just about anything (if it can be done).

The first thing to tackle is the plastic guide for the shaft (on top of the tube), which has come loose.

Need to re-attach.

What type of adhesive would work best?

Or would it be better to replace the tube with the guide already attached?
