I prefer mask but the spare one add up the cost and more bulky to pack.
Disposable lens is not an option.

I have used multi focal monthly contacts for years. I leave them for the whole weekend when diving locally and for the whole week when diving on vacation. The left one is geared towards seeing close up and the right one is geared towards distance. I had to try contacts from a couple of different companies before I found ones that fit my eyes properly and didn't float around. If my prescription changes I just buy a new pair.

I too dive with contacts. 10+ prescription so really strong! I’ve never lost one in over 600 dives. I always have both spare lenses & my glasses with me.

I wear contacts but have a prescription mask for backup.
